It is hard to believe how fast time goes by. Now, all these years have passed by. On June 17, 2003, we purchased our 45 acre adjoining farm, hung out a “shingle” as they say offering horse boarding and lessons. In 2017 we adopted our new logo, incorporating hints of horses, animals and nature programs offered here. All the down home goodness found on the farm.
Since our meager beginning, 2003, we have grown in more ways than one and include many wonderful experiential programs, all about hands on experiences.
Cherry Ridge Therapeutic Learning Programs our 501(c)3 non profit started in 2007. We've branched out and include so many wonderful programs under this non-profit.
Especially exciting is our improved woodland trail bordering White Oak Creek to better serve special needs children including shelters and seating for inclement weather and gravel pathways on the trail. Our Butterfly Sanctuary Project is growing each year with more and more plantings, especially milkweed for the Monarch. And now we have a greenhouse there, too. If these things excite you, and you want to help as a volunteer, contact us. It's a team effort here on the farm. We need you.
Through the varied activities on the farm, we meet many wonderful kids and their families. From the start we couldn't help but marvel at how God has directed our path and continues to bring "helpers" our volunteers, that make all this possible for them.
We are thankful for all we have in our pipeline this year to better serve our community. As always, we continue to be true to our farm motto since the beginning: Enriching Lives-Fulfilling Dreams!
Thank you from our farm family to yours! The Mitchells
